Junior Sailing Courses

Junior Sailing Course - Optimist

Our Junior Sailing Program is one of a kind. Children between the ages of 8 to 15 years are taught the art of sailing. We bring their skill up to the level of National and International Championships. Our program balances both basic theory and on water sessions. Beginners are taught on a small boat called the “Optimist”, which is the internationally recognised dinghy for training children all over the world.

Our program is broken up into 4 different levels based on the Yachting Association of India’s requirements and syllabus. On completion of each level a certificate will be issued to the child. Our goal is the train these children to become one with their surroundings on the water, learn to be free of their fear and develop important life and team building skills by becoming one with the elements. Our program is unique as children can learn to sail as a hobby and also thrive in a competitive environment where they have the opportunity to race.

Learning how to sail teaches children:
– How to be self-confident as confidence is a must whilst controlling ones boat
– How to work in a team setting
– Gives them extensive navigational skills and weather knowledge
